    The Mission Assurance Program Manager serves as the OPR for 9 AF (AFCENT) Mission Assurance Program and serves as the Liaison for the USCENTCOM Joint Security Office Mission Assurance Branch. Effective documentation and communications skills and in-depth understanding of Force Protection and the CENTCOM AOR are required.


    Essential Functions:

    • Serves as the OPR for 9 AF (AFCENT) SUP, Mission Assurance Program, establishing policy and processes to effectively manage the 9 AF (AFCENT) Mission Assurance Program.
    • Serves as the liaison for the USCENTCOM Joint Security Office Mission Assurance Branch (CCJ3-JSO-MA) and provides monthly updates to the USCENTCOM Mission Assurance Portal ensuring information is current and all documents are uploaded, as required.
    • Coordinates and schedules the MAWG/MASSG and publishes meeting minutes to include decisions and actions
    • Attends monthly Deep Dives and Antiterrorism Working Groups (ATWG) with USCENTCOM; provides status updates of all Task Critical Assets and discusses any requests for closure or risk acceptance. Deep dives focuses on revalidating, updating or deleting TCAs, updating asset descriptions and loss impact statements, adding missing/emerging assets, ensuring TCAs are updated with current Basic Element Information (BEI), in addition to and supporting the USCENTCOM CAIP
    • Manages and populates the USCENTCOM MA database and the USCENTCOM Core Vulnerability Assessment Management Program (CVAMP) Bridging Strategy
    • Manages the Risk Management Plan (RMP) development process for 9 AF (AFCENT) assets within the AOR and assists subordinate level PMs in development of their RMP, IAW 9 AF (AFCENT) and USCENTCOM Mission Assurance Regulation. Ensures RMPs are completed for all USCENTCOM Tier 1 and select Tier 2 task critical assets and provides feedback to senior leadership
    • Coordinates with Installation Program Managers on TCA risk assessments, remediation and mitigation requirements. Addresses any issues where the collaboration efforts of all force protection programs would be required for a detailed analysis and risk management recommendation
    • Coordinates with installations on all mitigation actions impacting 9 AF (AFCENT) critical assets. For non-DoD owned MA critical assets impacting the functional assigned mission, coordinates as required to determine any mitigation/remediation actions necessary and priorities for support of non-DoD resources
    • Conducts a program review of subordinate level MA programs annually using the DoD MA benchmarks and document results
    • Coordinates Component MA training annually, including one-time initial and annual MA training, as the environment permits. Training will cover CC-CAMS functions, review of updated MA requirements and benchmarks, and MA training as outlined in USCENTCOM OPORD 05-03 and DoD Instruction (DoDI) 3020.45, Mission Assurance (MA) Construct
    • Attends AT Forums (ATWG, Threat Working Group (TWG), Anti-terrorism Executive Council (ATEC)
    • Supports and assists USCENTCOM and other Service Components with conducting Mission Assurance Assessment and/or Vulnerability Assessments as requested
