Program Manager (Non-Profit) manages a team that coordinates the programs of a non-profit organization. Designs and implements programs that support the organization's mission, vision, and goals. Being a Program Manager (Non-Profit) monitors program operations for quality, efficiency and effectiveness. Utilizes a client relationship management (CRM) or another system to organize information and facilitate outreach communications, perform forecasting, and measure the performance of programs. Additionally, Program Manager (Non-Profit) implements a fundraising and development strategy to identify potential donors or funding sources and conduct outreach initiatives. Collaborates with partners to ensure that special events publicize the organization and its programs to the community and support its goals. May assist in the development of grant applications or proposals. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Program Manager (Non-Profit) manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Program Manager (Non-Profit) typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • People
    o Provide leadership by serving team members and working alongside in the day-to-day operations of each department.
    o Train and motivate staff in proper customer service techniques.
    o Determine staffing needs and schedule accordingly using established WCC guidelines and metrics.
    o In collaboration with VP of Retail, manage the hiring process and additional staff hiring needs.
    • Purchasing – In collaboration with Department Heads
    o Sourcing Grocery and Bulk items to:
     Ensure adequate quantities.
     Ensure price competitiveness.
     Ensure maximum freshness.
    o Develop and maintain relationships with current vendors and investigate new vendors.
    • Pricing – In collaboration with the Store Manager and Category Manager:
    o Analyzing the pricing of competitors and alternative suppliers to maximize both market share and profitability of WCC.
    o Work alongside the VP of Retail and Category Manager to set and adjust the prices for products as needed to maintain proper margin.
    • Products – In collaboration with the VP of retail and Category Manager:
    o Having a deliberate focus on Walnut Creek Foods brand portfolio.
    o Researching new products and product lines that fit the needs of our customers as well as paying attention to market trends.
    o Assist with weekly ad items.
    o Analyzing sales data for products, product lines, and specific categories.
    • Merchandising
    o In collaboration with VP of Retail facilitate product, fixture, and merchandising vision.
    o Establish and maintain display and merchandising standards that will help drive sales and influence purchasing decisions.
    o Analyze overall trends in product, merchandising, layout, and fixtures to drive innovation, and stay ahead of competition.
    • Other Areas:
    o Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
    o Promotions - Keeping track of all promotions and program discounts offered by vendors.
    o Analysis - Performing analysis that assists WCC in operating more efficiently and effectively.
    o Ability to back up VP of Retail as needed.
    o Share in helping close the store on scheduled nights.
    o Assists with Quarterly Inventory counts as needed.
    o Performs ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
    o Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements
    QUALIFICATIONS
    Education:
    • Associates degree or relevant equivalent experience
    Experience:
    • This position is a full-time position.
    • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
    • A high level of computer literacy, with the ability to learn new applications.
    Skills/Requirements:
    • Excellent listening skills, ability to operate in difficult scenarios and focus on the solution.
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention for detail.
    • Ability to analyze and make recommendations for price changes and product additions/deletions.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills
    • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand.
    • Proactive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must be willing and able to use the following equipment: Hand jack, electric pallet jack, scale
    • Must share in Saturday work.
    • Be a team player
    • Pay attention to details.
    • Job requires lifting (50 Pounds), bending, standing, walking, carrying, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting
