Being a Program Specialist (Non-Profit) develops an event calendar and implements programs that align with the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Creates program materials, establishes staffing requirements, and ensures that the program achieves stated objectives. Additionally, Program Specialist (Non-Profit) measures the performance of programs and makes adjustments to optimize results. Utilizes a client relationship management (CRM) or another system to organize information and facilitate outreach communications. Works with partners on special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Program Specialist (Non-Profit) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     General Summary:

    Receives, stores and issues materials, supplies and equipment. Takes inventories and assists in compiling stock records. Adheres to all policies and procedures documented in the Materials Management policy and procedure manual. Ability to work with high degree of accuracy and meet continuous deadlines. Ability to work at a completely confidential level. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel as well as general computer knowledge.

    Essential Functions:

    • Keeps storeroom area stocked on a daily basis, as observed by the Assistant Director.
    • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
    • Performs work of equal skill and responsibility as directed. May also perform work of a higher level in preparation for increased responsibility and may be requested to do work of lesser responsibility when workload of the department so requires.
    • Marks identifying information such as patient charge stickers, outdate stickers, and overstock tags.
    • Rotates and checks dates on all stock in storeroom and in assigned supply areas.
    • Supplies and overstock are put away in proper location in storeroom.
    • Inventories and fills complete compliments of requisitioned orders/exchange carts within hours of its receipt as observed by Supply Chain Supervisor.
    • Maintains high level of accuracy when picking and performing put away items for orders.
    • Reports stock outs and other cart related issues to the Supply Chain Supervisor.
    • Exchange carts are maintained at a proper level at all times.
    • Assures products are handled and transported safely.
    • Completes scheduled cleaning assignments on a daily, weekly, montly basis as directed or rotated by the Supply Chain Supervisor.
    • Supplies are put away in proper location in storage locations throughout the facility.
    • Accurately enters data into computer-based ERP system and maintains statistics.
    • Answers telephone within 3 rings with service focused phone etiquette.
    • Displays shift-change communication, whether oral or written.
    • Utilizes and completes role assigned daily checklists.
    • Assists with training of new employees as needed.
    • Supports the Hospital's mission, policies and procedures through attendance and participation at committee meetings.
    • Utilizes automated system to communicate inter and intra departmentally.  This includes carrying the department issued phones.
    • Completes work assignments on time/readily accepts assignments.
    • Reports to work on time and is at work as scheduled.
    • Completes assigned cycle counts and inventories as directed by the Assistant Director.
