Program Specialist (Non-Profit) plans and coordinates one or more programs of a non-profit organization. Coordinates fundraising, budgeting, and community outreach efforts. Being a Program Specialist (Non-Profit) develops an event calendar and implements programs that align with the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Creates program materials, establishes staffing requirements, and ensures that the program achieves stated objectives. Additionally, Program Specialist (Non-Profit) measures the performance of programs and makes adjustments to optimize results. Utilizes a client relationship management (CRM) or another system to organize information and facilitate outreach communications. Works with partners on special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Program Specialist (Non-Profit) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Administrative Assistant/Statewide Intake Specialist

    Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) is seeking an applicant to work as an Administrative Assistant/Statewide Intake Specialist.

    The successful applicant will assume intake responsibilities on a full-time basis 5 days per week. The Intake Paralegal will answer and return incoming calls assigned to the Intake Workgroup of persons seeking legal assistance from Georgia Legal Services Program. 


    Responsibilities:

    • Screening and interviewing clients
    • Making appointments
    • Assisting clients in completing forms and questionnaires
    • Making referrals to agencies and private attorneys 
    • The input of initial data and updating data in Legal Server 
    • Directing clients to self-help websites


    Requirements

    • Applicants must have the ability to quickly establish a rapport with callers to effectively and efficiently obtain information needed to evaluate prospective clients’ cases. 
    • The ability to identify legal issues
    • Proficiency in the use of computers
    • Good typing skills
    • Ability to operate GLSP office equipment without assistance; proficiency in the use of Legal Server; 
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work
    •  Good track record completing tasks in a timely manner
    • Prior experience as a GLSP paralegal, receptionist, or client pre-screener is a plus
    • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 
    • Good writing and grammar skills.

    Salary and Benefits: This is a 35 hour per week position with a starting pay of $30,700, some experience credit may be available. 


     The program provides generous fringe benefits, including paid holidays, paid time off including parental leave; birthday holiday; health, life, and long and short-term disability insurance; tuition reimbursement up to $2500 per year; 403B with 3% match; GLSP offers a hybrid work schedule that allows staff to work up to 2 days remotely subject to management approval and a probationary employment period. GLSP requires that all employees comply with our COVID – 19 Vaccine Policy.
