At CA Human Services, innovating systems change for people with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families is not just our job, but our passion. Through collaboration with strategic partners and stakeholders, we model and operate services that support community inclusion for people with autism and developmental disabilities.

CA Human Services is seeking 2 community volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors.  This role supports the organization’s mission, vision, strategic goals, policies, and programs through the following:

• strategic planning
• monitoring of strategic goals to ensure success
• policy development
• financial development

The Board Member’s Primary Responsibilities:

1. Attend and actively participate in board and committee meetings.
2. Develop and monitor the strategic plan.
3. Provide policy and financial oversight.
4. Understand constituencies’ needs and values and work on their behalf to hold the organization accountable
5. Participate in the annual assessment of the CEO/President and the Board of Directors.
6. Make an annual gift to the organization. and/or provide donated goods and/or services according to personal means
7. Assist the organization with the development and implementation of fund development strategies.
8. Support efforts to increase volunteer engagement in the corporate sector as well as within schools, faith-based organizations, and civic groups.
