Being a Program Specialist (Non-Profit) develops an event calendar and implements programs that align with the organization's vision, mission, and goals. Creates program materials, establishes staffing requirements, and ensures that the program achieves stated objectives. Additionally, Program Specialist (Non-Profit) measures the performance of programs and makes adjustments to optimize results. Utilizes a client relationship management (CRM) or another system to organize information and facilitate outreach communications. Works with partners on special events that publicize the organization and its programs to the community. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Program Specialist (Non-Profit) work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Position Purpose:
This is an entry level clinical position working in the addiction field. Directly supervise addicted clients. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Provide direct counseling services including individual, case management, group and lecture activities on a daily basis. Participate as a team member in the delivery of addictions treatment services to clients and their families and to facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations. This position is a great way to gain experience in the substance abuse field with an opportunity for continuing education by obtaining the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor certificate (CADC).
