    JOB TITLE: Annual Gifts Assistant
    DEPARTMENT: Development
    REPORTS TO: Director of Philanthropy
    Location: 2061 Collier Pkwy Land O' Lakes, FL 34639
    Hours: M-F 8am-5pm


    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the Annual Gifts Assistant will oversee a comprehensive annual gifts program, including strategies to focus on new donors, improve donor retention, increase average gift amounts, cultivate monthly donors, increase workplace giving/matching gifts and incorporate e-campaigns. This position will also play a role in assisting with fundraising events as well as special projects.
    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree required.
    • 1-5 years of fundraising experience, including the cultivation and solicitation of donors for annual gifts.
    • CFRE and/or health care fundraising experience strongly preferred.
    • Previous experience in Raiser’s Edge preferred.
    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Nurture, solicit, steward and advance annual gift donors, particularly in the $1,000-$2,500 range
    • Assist with planning and implementing multiple direct mail appeals annually, with a high degree of customization and emotional appeal.
    • Work in collaboration with the development team to identify major and planned gift prospects within the annual donor pool.
    • Implement and manage a new monthly giving program, focused on growing sustaining gift revenue.
    • Coordinate the planning, organization and implementation of donor stewardship activities including donor appreciation and cultivation events, recognition opportunities and other donor appreciation initiatives.
    • Coordinate the planning, organization and scheduling of workplace giving campaigns, including the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Ensure proper stewardship of donors who give through workplace giving.
    • Plan and implement strategies to increase participation in the Matching Gift Program.
    • Work closely with Fundraising Communications Assistant on audience segmentation, selection, and list pulls, and contribute to efficient database management and data integrity.
    • Generate personalized thank you letters, gift acknowledgements, and gift receipts.
    • Conduct research on assigned donors and compile donor profiles.
    • Maintain timely records of donor contacts and communications in Raiser's Edge database
    • Provide excellent customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our donors.
    • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and prioritize daily objectives in an efficient manner.

    • Proficient in a variety of computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
