Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Supervisor to oversee the operations and care provided in our residential facility. As a Residential Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of caregivers and ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one year experience working with adults with disabilities, previous supervisory experience preferred, BA/BS Degree in special education, social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
· Ability to maintain appropriate relationships with people with disabilities and at-risk adolescents utilizing normalization principles
· Ability to interact effectively with all levels of CAU staff, members’ families, and within the community
· Ability to express oneself, both in writing and verbally, in a comprehensive manner using the English language
· Good planning and organization skills
· Working knowledge of computer software programs including Microsoft Office products
· Ability to be resourceful and work independently
· Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
· Ability to problem-solve
· Demonstrate responsible leadership, mentoring and role-modeling
· Ability to effectively supervise employees and delegate responsibilities appropriately
Access to an automobile vehicle, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record required.
JOB TASKS
1. Maintains program standards of operation and development
2. Ensures members’ health, safety and welfare, including appropriate medication administration
3. Ensures the integrity of members’ finances
4. Ensures adequate employment and recreation for members
5. Maintains appropriate staff/member interactions
6. Ensures compliance with the annual Individual Habilitation Plan process for members
7. Ensures compliance with the Agency’s Periodic Service Review and other quality assurance programs
8. Ensures compliance with various program licensing requirements
9. Provides appropriate direct supports to members
10. Provides appropriate supervision to subordinate staff
11. Maintains appropriate human resources practices within the program
12. Maintains Carelogic expectations.
13. Cooperates with Agency, legal authorities and Department of Human Services or any part or successor thereof in any inspection or investigation.
14. Ensures compliance with all required state and federally mandated background and exclusion checks including but not limited to criminal history background investigation (fingerprinting), Central Registry, Child Abuse Record Information (CARI), drug testing, and motor vehicle checks.
Ensures compliance with wearing a mask when mandated by State, Federal, and Licensing authorities during a public health crisis/pandemic
