  • The ClinicalTrials.gov/Clinical Trials Reporting Program (CTRP) Compliance Specialist will serve as an education and compliance expert regarding regulations and policies governing ClinicalTrials.gov and CTRP. ClinicalTrials.gov is a public registry and results database of clinical studies conducted around the world. Clinical research studies must be registered and results reported according to local and federal laws and regulations including the Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health, International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This position will administer the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) ClinicalTrials.gov and CTRP program, including registration, record maintenance, and reporting for Investigator-Initiated-Trials (IITs) sponsored or lead by an HCI Investigator. Additionally, under the Research Compliance Office at HCI, the person in this position will oversee and manage activities related to data on IITs at HCI in the center’s clinical trials management system (OnCore®), which in turn serves as the primary source of data for reporting to the center leadership, ClinicalTrials.gov, and National Cancer Institute (NCI) CTRP. This person works closely with investigators and study staff at participating institutions to ensure pertinent data is entered into OnCore in real time so that the cancer center complies with federal and all other requirements for trial registration in all applicable databases.This position will ensure data for oncology clinical trials is accurate, complete and entered in a timely manner, so that data generated for ClinicalTrials.gov, CTRP and any other publication is valid, high-quality, reliable, and statistically sound. This position will work closely with numerous members of the clinical research team including the Principal Investigator (PI), Biostatistician, and Protocol Writer. This position will be responsible for developing, validating, amending, and analyzing electronic case report forms (eCRF) in accordance with the investigator-initiated trial (IIT) protocol and data management plan. The primary focus of this position will be to ensure accurate case histories are maintained with respect to the primary and secondary data in ClinicalTrials.gov. This position is capable for hybrid remote and in-person work.
