    Description

    PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR

Who we are: Commercial Sewing has specialized in the marine and power sports markets with a focus on producing sewn products and hard goods for Original Equipment Manufacturers, Distributors, and Dealers.

Our mission is simple. We believe ourselves to be an extension of our customer engineering and manufacturing. We value consistent communication and strive to provide our clients innovative solutions at the highest value and performance. We are consistently growing and consider ourselves to be the dominant supplier of sewn products to the OEM Power Sport and Marine markets. This level of quality and responsibility is not to be taken for granted and we strive to be flexible and fair to the needs of our customers, employees and the communities we work in.

Our staff has decades of experience in the power sports and marine industries and a dedicated team of 20 engineers, project administrators, and global sourcing specialists that work out of an “innovation lab” to meet and exceed customer project requirements.

Our company is growing, and we are looking to add to our Product Development team.

What we are looking for: We are looking for energetic, hands-on Project Administrators looking to learn and become strong team members.  We are a medium sized company that values team members that lean in to help solve problems with an upbeat attitude and the willingness and ability to problem solve.

Project Administrator responsibilities include working closely with our Project team to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, time frames and budgets for projects. You will perform various tasks such as scheduling and risk management.  Some administrative duties like maintaining project documentation and coordinating schedules for meetings are also required.  To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you will collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.  We are willing to train a candidate who has these traits in the details of the process and products.

Ultimately, the Project Administrator’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meet high quality standards and cost targets.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate project management activities, resources, and information
    • Break projects into manageable actions and set timelines
    • Communicate with Sales to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives
    • Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
    • Ensure that clients’ needs are met throughout every phase of the project
    • Monitor and report project status and be engaged in the solutions to any issues that arise
    • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
    • Work with the Project team to eliminate any risks associated with the project.
    • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures
    • Manage and report project metrics (cost, schedule, budget, etc)
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports

    Requirements

    • Associates degree preferred
    • PMICAPM certification a plus
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
    • Self-motivated and excellent work ethic
    • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
    • Ability to work overtime as business needs dictate

What we can offer: Our employees enjoy a slew of benefits from paid holidays, summer shut down, Christmas break, Spring Day, 401k, medical, dental, and supplemental insurance, gift cards for a summer BBQ and towards your Thanksgiving dinner, and end of year bonuses.  We have dress down Fridays and a range of activities throughout the year including a Halloween Costume Contest, Christmas party, and multiple Wellness Challenges.  We train and promote from within.  If you are looking to join a family rather than being "just another number," Commercial Sewing is the place for you.  Apply today and come see why our employees have been with us for 20, 30, and even 40 years.
