Seeking a Project Financial Administrator to support the MRC Program Manager who is responsible for overseeing government contracts supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport. The incumbent shall assist with documenting, tracking, and administering funding budgets for various government projects. This position requires very strong organizational & multitasking skills, great attention to detail, a strong work ethic and the ability to work well under pressure.

The financial administrator will be responsible for a variety of financial and administrative duties which include, but are not limited to:

Creating & maintaining accurate project funding and expenditure reports

Adjusting and/or reallocating funding in accordance with project requirements

Reviewing and processing funding increments and de-obligations

Monitoring data inputs for accuracy and reviewing actual versus planned expenditures

Identifying and correcting miscalculations and financial discrepancies

Preparing and processing purchase requisitions for materials and services

Maintaining accurate records of funding and associated project data

Assisting with preparing monthly financial reports to present to the management board

Preparing workforce labor and charge numbers and reviewing employee time card entries

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates Degree in Business, Financial, or other Administrative field

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently and within a team
