Project Engineer - Construction jobs in Allentown, PA

Storage Construction is a York, Pennsylvania based General Contractor that provides construction services specifically for the self-storage industry in PA, MD, OH, NJ, and DE.

We are seeking experienced Project Managers & Superintendents, located in or near the York, Lancaster, Philadelphia, or Allentown area. Some travel required. The Superintendent works with the Project Manager in a team approach to oversee the construction of multiple projects. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Coordinate the schedule of all subcontractors, material delivery and project activity

- Update schedule and review with the PM

- Inspect the jobsite for safety, quality and ensure adherence to all company policies

- Review potential change orders with the PM

- Submit daily reports

- Resolve problems that arise and may cause delay

- Attend weekly progress meeting

- Attend monthly pay-out meetings

- Immediately report all accidents, incidents or near misses

Qualifications:

- Experience as a construction superintendent and/or a degree in Construction Science or related fields.

- Ability to read and understand construction plans.

- Must have a working knowledge of construction processes.

- Good communication skills along with computer skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Must have strong organizational skills and be detail oriented.

- Good judgment, personal motivation and ability to work independently.

- Experience in self storage is a plus but not required.

- Must be willing to travel.
