Project Engineer - Construction provides technical oversight, review, and engineering analysis of construction projects to ensure compliance with time, budget, quality, and regulatory requirements. Reviews and approves specifications, designs, bids, contracts, drawings, change orders, and progress reports. Being a Project Engineer - Construction monitors project progress. Identifies and assesses engineering project risks, and develops mitigation strategies and solutions. Additionally, Project Engineer - Construction facilitates collaboration among project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Project Engineer - Construction work is closely managed. As our Assistant Project Manager, you will provide support to the project team as you strive to achieve the highest level of professional performance and learn to overcome construction challenges related to sophisticated and complex projects. Every day we'll rely on you to promote our safety culture, assist with maintaining the project budget, track & relay information regarding material procurement, verify & process submittals and RFIs, and aid in delivering the project earlier than expected and below budgeted costs. To thrive in this role, you will need to take the initiative, find solutions, and communicate effectively.
\nEssential Job Functions:
You must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, have a depth of perception to avoid excavations and other hazards, hear well enough to recognize the sounds of horns and sirens on moving equipment. There is a constant lifting of 10 lbs., frequent lifting of 25 lbs. There is standing up to seven hours of an eight-hour shift.
Special Clothing:
You will be required to wear puncture-resistant footwear, long pants and four-inch sleeves on shirts. PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, etc.) is required. All safety appliances (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high visibility vest, earplugs, fall protection, respiratory equipment, etc.) will be provided.
