Project Engineer – What You Will Do
You will support our team of Project Managers and Estimators, from the bidding and preconstruction stage through project completion, to ensure the timely execution and coordination of civil construction projects.
You will:
· Support the RFI and bid submittal process, scoping work with subcontractors, developing takeoffs and bids and participating in the estimating process;
· Facilitate the management and upkeep of data, communications, approvals, and information exchange as per project and company protocols, ensuring seamless coordination among project stakeholders, including owners, contractors, subcontractors, and related entities.
· Ensure the maintenance and implementation of document and project control systems and procedures.
· Participate in project meetings to document project milestones and track progress and status updates.
· Review project plans and specs to obtain, track, and document contractor and subcontractor contractual requirements in areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment.
You will support multiple projects concurrently. Based out of the main office you will have the opportunity to visit projects and provide support to the field staff. Overnight travel may be required for projects on an occasional basis.
Project Engineer – Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit
· You are excited to grow your career – you are interested in either a Project Manager or Estimator path (this role gives you the choice and exposure to both!)
· You have a high attention to detail and thrive in managing and overseeing complex processes with numerous moving components.
· You have a degree in civil engineering, construction management and prior experience working as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator or Jr. Project Manager
