Additionally, Project Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Project Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Description
. Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred, with preference towards high volume assembly operations.
. Must be able to provide examples of project ownership from start to finish along with displaying examples of, project scope development, solution analysis through data gathering, Return on investment justification, preparing and managing a build schedule, managing to an install plan, training associates to a process, confirming quality and safety systems, troubleshooting process maturation issues.
. Strong troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and time management skills will be essential in this position. Ability to interface at multiple levels and operate within cross-functional teams is critical.
. CAD skills are required, AutoCad at a minimum. Experience with Solid Edge is highly preferred.
. Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods is crucial.
. Experienced in developing poka-yokes and simple equipment modifications. Ability to reverse engineer product as required.
. Experience in designing and implementing solutions to production equipment problems, from simple modifications to complete equipment design and build issues.
. Ability to give clear presentations of technical data up to executive level. Displays the skill to navigate communication across cultural boundaries.
. Discuss with vendors, staff and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities and project status.
MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3 years experience with Project management (cradle to grave) within a Manufacturing environment.
- Experience with capital investments, lean manufacturing, AutoCad
- Experience with Solidedge
