    Job Description

    Performance Contracting is seeking a Project Engineer for its PCI Sacramento operations based in North Highlands, CA. This individual will provide project management support to commercial projects and the following scopes: specialty walls, acoustical/specialty ceilings, drywall, and cleanrooms. This individual will also be responsible for the following duties:

     

    • Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
    • Prepare RFI’s and submittals.
    • Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
    • Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen.
    • Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation. 
    • Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program.
    • This position is safety-sensitive.

    Salary range: $71,700 - $95,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

     

     

    Requirements

    Basic Requirements: 

     

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in a construction management role (e.g., Project Engineer, Field Engineer, Project Manager)
    • Professional construction experience with at least one of the following scopes of work: drywall, acoustical ceilings, cleanroom scopes
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline, or comparable work experience
    • OSHA 30 certification
    • Ability to travel/temporarily relocate based on project needs

     

    Minimum Requirements:

     

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
    • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
    • Customer service skills, such as able to work with customers and build strong relationships
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to multitask
    • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
    • Works well under pressure and deadline

     

    Preferred Requirements:

     

    • Experience with commercial interior construction preferred
    • Experience with semiconductor and pharmaceutical projects is preferred
    • Expereince with rigging is preferred
    • Local to the Sacramento area
