Parsons is hiring a talented Project Engineers for US Army Corps of Engineer (USACE) projects in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. What You’ll Be Doing: Review and comment upon proposed construction or service performance techniques, procedures, and methods prepared or proposed by others and provide recommendations to the Government with respect to approval or disapproval actions that should be taken. Review and comment to the Government upon quality control plans, procedures and techniques, as well as performing compliance inspections of the manner in which they are actually implemented. Review and provide comments to the Government upon construction contractors’ or service providers’ quality control plans, safety plans, schedule of prices, progress schedules, network diagrams (CPM’s), environmental protection plans, asbestos plans, submittal registers, and any other type of submittal common to the construction industry. (Review of these types of documents, as well as other documents mentioned in other places within this part of the contract, should be performed in accordance with the contract provisions and accepted standards pertaining to the subject matter involved. Utilize the Corps’ of Engineers automated construction contract administration and reporting system, RMS (Resident Management System). Be versed in the Corps of Engineer manuals ER 1180-1-6 Construction Quality Management and be able to conduct Quality Assurance through the implementation of three phase control system.ie. Prepare input to and recommendations to the Government for written responses to construction contractor or service provider Requests for Information (RFI’s). Perform BCOES review of design drawings and specifications prepared by others using qualified personnel experienced in construction projects and provide the results of these reviews to the Government. BCOES reviews are to consist of, but not be limited to, such areas as general siting requirements, climatic conditions, materials availability, materials delivery, applicability of the design standards being used, coordination between disciplines and drawings, and other unique conditions restricting construction and construction schedules involved. Attend and participate in (in an advisory capacity) meetings such as pre-construction and pre-performance conferences, quality control coordination meetings, progress meetings, or other conferences and meetings held between the Government’s representatives and construction contractors. What Required Skills You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Architecture discipline (or Construction Management) Min 10 years relevant experience in Construction projects Previous large project construction experience with USACE (may accept NAVFAC or AFCEC) Previous experience with USACE’s Resident Management System (RMS) Proof of US citizenship - US Citizen's ONLY due to government or federal requirement. Must have a valid driver’s license Ability to communicate clearly (written and oral) and have strong management skills Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federal background investigation and must be able to get a Government Common Access Card (CAC). What Desired Skills You’ll Bring: Previous experience as a Project Engineer Completion of Construction Quality Management Course (CQM) within 5 years Professional Registration (PE or RA) or other relevant certifications (PMP, LEED, CCM) OSHA Safety Training (30 Hour) within 5 years Current records in JPAS system with ability to get a government CAC (Previous CAC or Security Clearance still on file in JPAS) Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Confidential This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
