Provides technical support for the engineering process and contributes to the completion of a project. Being a Project Engineer analyzes project requirements and performs standard technical calculations. Reviews reports of production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine or address problems. Additionally, Project Engineer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Project Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Description:
The Field Engineer will be on site natural gas compressor stations projects. These are industrial plants - Natural gas is highly pressurized as it travels through a pipeline. To ensure the natural gas remains pressurized, it must be compressed periodically along the pipeline. This is accomplished by using compressor stations where gas is compressed either by a turbine, a motor or an engine.
These facilities have all disciplines on site: civil, mechanical, electrical, a lot of piping work.
Field Engineer will be on site these facilities working with the trades (either self performed or contractors) doing the following:
- maintain and promote strong safety culture
- assist the PM in managing smaller projects
- understand terms conditions and scope of contract
- track materials, production and project costs for PM to review and approve
- assist in facilitating subcontractor activities
- maintain project schedule
- basic estimating, take offs, and solicitation of quotes
- onsite admin support
- assist with qa/qc and test protocols
