Project Engineering Manager plans and directs all design engineers, drafters, and technical engineers working on specific projects. Manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs. Being a Project Engineering Manager oversees product construction and testing in order to ensure completion of projects as efficiently and effectively as possible. Evaluates and approves changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project. The team is hiring an onsite PEM that has strengths in Process Engineering Skills for assistance with 2 approved projects.
1. Provide Process Engineering Support as an extension of companies staff working under company direction as follows:
a. Assist in development of PFD’s, Block Flows and P&IDs as directed by company.
b. Conduct Vendor coordination and/or identification of OEM providers of any equipment not already selected by company. Coordination to include review meetings, status updates, start up assistance, commissioning assistance and operator training as needed.
c. Review layouts and provide input to adjustments required.
d. Assist in development of the equipment list
2. Provide Project Management support services under company direction as follows:
a. Provide PM support for the project up to and through engineering phase. Construction Management Support will be in scope.
b. Assist in development or updating a project schedule with associated milestones.
c. Coordinate with discipline engineers on OEM equipment status updates and deliveries.
d. Provide guidance and assistance in development of a capital budget
e. Maintain and update MOC process documentation for the project.
f. Prepare scope, schedule, budget documentation for company's Internal Funding Reviews.
g. Assist in development of NIMT documentation
h. Participate in all discipline design reviews. If not arranged by the discipline lead, arrange said review.
i. Work with Plant and Corporate representatives to refine project objective, scope and success metrics as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited University.
Experience (Years/Type): Minimum 3 years experience. Requires experience in industrial manufacturing environments. Industrial construction experience will be a strong plus.
Skills: Scheduling software knowledge (P6 or Project), Cost Reporting and trending through project management tools and Microsoft Excel.
OSHA 10 or 30 certifications preferred
Food Safety certification preferred
Steel toe shoes are required, and to be provided by the worker at own expense (job requirement).
