Project Management Director develops and directs project management operations and strategic planning to meet organizational goals. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for effective project delivery. Being a Project Management Director establishes methodologies to set productivity and quality targets and to assess results for all projects. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Additionally, Project Management Director monitors and analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and to propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a project management certification. Typically reports to top management. The Project Management Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Job Summary

     

    The Enterprise Senior Project Manager will play a crucial role in driving the successful execution of enterprise-wide initiatives at Springs Window Fashions through effective management of project teams in partnership with project sponsors, ensuring effective stakeholder management and business engagement, serving as the owner for project status and budget reporting and facilitating strong partnerships within the organization and with third-party contributors to manage project scope, schedules, cost, risks, and issues.

     

    Key Job Duties:

     

    • Strategic Project Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, considering scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation for enterprise-wide initiatives.
    • Stakeholder Management: Partner with our CEO, executive team, and other leaders at Springs Window Fashions to ensure alignment with business strategies and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
    • Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate and manage project resources, ensuring optimal utilization and efficiency in achieving project goals.
    • Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness in project execution.
    • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of projects and identify areas for improvement.
    • Reporting: Provide regular and comprehensive project status reports to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
    • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices in project management methodologies.

     

     

     

     

    Additional Job Duties:

    • Leads multiple, concurrent enterprise-wide projects, of significant size and scope that involve complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
    • Defines the business case for each initiative with input from stakeholders by identifying and gaining agreement on project objectives, scope, timing, and resources.
    • Lead projects to achieve defined business outcomes. Create a high performing team of business and cross-functional stakeholders to initiate, design, and deliver people, process, and technology solutions.
    • Demonstrates strong business acumen and leadership to drive results, remove execution barriers and anticipate and manage risks. Seek to learn assigned business function, challenges, barriers, needs, as well as enabling processes and systems, to deliver desired outcomes.
    • Incorporate people change management and business process activities into the project plan to ensure adoption and sustainability of the delivered outcomes.
    • Demonstrate financial management discipline by ensuring overall project costs and benefits are being monitored and communicated and business cases are maintained in partnership with business owners and Finance.
    • Maintain effective communication with project team and internal/external stakeholders including producing accurate project status reports, decision logs and other project documentation to ensure team alignment and to drive forward progress. Escalate project risks and issues as appropriate.

     

    Requirements

     

     

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; Project Management Certification (PMP) is a plus.
    • 10 years of progressive experience in project management, with a focus on large-scale enterprise initiatives in the manufacturing sector.
    • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
    • Experience with change management.
    • Experience utilizing project management tools, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project or similar.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
    • Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
