Job Description:

Youth Cycle Project is a non-profit organization that focuses on teaching riding skills to young riders to instill safe and healthy habits that allow riders of all ages to enjoy the freedom of riding a bike. We also focus on team-building skills by encouraging and asking for help from peers and others.

We are in search of an adult who can commit to helping coach some of our summer week camps. Camps run from 9 am to 3 pm and typically accommodate 8 campers. Depending on the camp’s difficulty, the terrain consists of beginner to advanced single-track riding at a variety of local riding locations such as Bradbury Mountain and Blackstrap Preserve.

Suitable candidates most importantly must have experience working with children and their parents such as in a daycare or teaching environment. No prior mountain bike coaching is required due to our younger staff who have spent multiple years with our program. Due to the nature of the camp, it is mandatory however that any individuals interested must have experience riding mountain bikes (preferably 3 or more years).

Requirements:

• Teaching, daycare, summer camp, or similar experience.
• Intermediate or greater mountain bike riding skill. (Single track technical riding)
• Moderate physical fitness in order to be out on the bike for up to 5 hours.
• Background check.
• Appropriate and enthusiastic demeanor and attitude to ride with young riders.

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: From $575.00 per week

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
