Project Management Director develops and directs project management operations and strategic planning to meet organizational goals. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for effective project delivery. Being a Project Management Director establishes methodologies to set productivity and quality targets and to assess results for all projects. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Job Purpose: Experienced Manager to head of key client projects. Management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of assignments on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of project operations. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of assignments. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each assignment are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to fulfill client needs. Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of other team members. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Duties:
Skills/Qualifications: Proven work experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager or similar role. Proven customer service experience. Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and employees. Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management. Experience budgeting and forecasting. Familiarity with business and financial principles. Strong leadership, communication, and people skills. Outstanding organizational skills. Degree in business, operations management, or related field.
Unique Job Specifics:
During Fire Season: May 1 through November – unless otherwise approved, will be available within 4 hours callout to leave for fire camp. May be gone and on location for over 1 month at a time. Willingness to work in remote and hard to access areas.
Outside of Fire Season: Manage Ships contract for foodservice and other projects as assigned including working at commissary/bakery and associated restaurants.
