Project Management Manager manages and directs the work of project managers and provides managerial oversight for multiple projects. Monitors project scopes, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables. Being a Project Management Manager develops standards, processes, and tools used for effective project scheduling and to set and manage quality targets. Addresses internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develops solutions. Additionally, Project Management Manager tracks at risk metrics and facilitates actions to keep projects on track. Establishes data collection and reporting processes to capture key metrics of project activities and to provide periodic reporting. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a project management certification. Typically reports to a director. The Project Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Position:

    Under the direction of the Controller, the Project Manager Assistant is responsible for using a proactive approach to provide administrative support to the Project Managers, Project Engineers and Area Management, ensuring projects are completed according to contract documents, plans, and within budget. Areas of involvement include but are not limited to, assisting & supporting all aspects of project management, bid vs. actual financial management, customer relations & basic office management.

    Role and Responsibilities

    • Perform both electronic and paper filing tasks as assigned
    • Continuous updating of spreadsheets for tracking and financial use
    • Searches for potential projects
    • Working within bid system to help with job setup and maintenance
    • Management and maintenance of plans
    • Bid tab downloading and analysis
    • Daily routing/delivery of internal and external mail
    • Vendor, subcontractor insurance follow-up
    • Assist in the preparation of bids

    The Candidate:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • Valid Driver's License that meets insurance requirements.
    • Word & Excel proficiency.
