Project Management Manager manages and directs the work of project managers and provides managerial oversight for multiple projects. Monitors project scopes, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables. Being a Project Management Manager develops standards, processes, and tools used for effective project scheduling and to set and manage quality targets. Addresses internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develops solutions. Additionally, Project Management Manager tracks at risk metrics and facilitates actions to keep projects on track. A FL based general contractor is in search of a Project Manager for their Bradenton office. They focus their efforts on a variety of commercial work such as office buildings, schools, storage facilities, retail projects, banks, etc. They have a significant backlog of projects and are hoping to add another Project Manager to their team. This is a privately held, mid-size builder that has an outstanding retention rate and a family-oriented culture.
A qualified candidate must possess the following:
· 5 years of experience in commercial construction including multi-story projects
· Experience managing projects of at least $5 million
· Experience with financial responsibility, preconstruction activities, scheduling, and close-out functions for the project
· Ability to form strong relationships with subcontractors, owners, architects, engineers, etc.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field is preferred
