Project Management Manager manages and directs the work of project managers and provides managerial oversight for multiple projects. Monitors project scopes, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables. Being a Project Management Manager develops standards, processes, and tools used for effective project scheduling and to set and manage quality targets. Addresses internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develops solutions. Additionally, Project Management Manager tracks at risk metrics and facilitates actions to keep projects on track. Establishes data collection and reporting processes to capture key metrics of project activities and to provide periodic reporting. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a project management certification. Typically reports to a director. The Project Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Function:

    Responsible to work with group, division, and department managers to drive projects of considerable complexity, priority and size in accordance with the assigned methodology.  Must be able to procure confirm and manage resources, quickly resolve and/or minimize conflicts, and manage projects within agreed upon scope, budget, and timeframe. Multiple levels available based on qualifications.

    Performs all duties and interacts with internal and external customers in a manner that is expressly aligned with the Company's Core Values of approaching all actions with a “Voyaging Spirit” and being “Positively Ohana”. Exhibits core competencies that result in consistent delivery of positive Customer Interactions, Empowerment and Ownership and demonstrates key professional and performance skills such as Active Listening, effective Oral and Written Communication, Action and Solution Oriented and Thoroughness.

    Project Methodology:

    • Responsible for successful implementation of various mid-to-significant projects (technologies, products, and processes) from discovery through closing.
    • Fully supports other EPMO project managers when needed in managing projects in various ways:  gathering and compiling project data, updating, reporting, monitoring, invoicing and forecasting.  
    • Supports the business analysis processes of project scope, requirements and compliance.
    • Demonstrates the ability to fully learn and successfully apply a project management methodology within three months following onboarding and with limited to no supervision.  
    • Executes all facets of project management processes to include but not limited to: budget tracking, detailed project planning, communications, facilitating meetings, project risks and issues management, and identifying, securing and managing required resources.
    • Provides regular project progress reporting in accordance with team directives.
    • Exhibits the ability to promptly resolve and/or escalate conflicts, issues and project impediments.
    • May mentor and coach other project managers and project team members.
    • Is able to provide backup to the EPM Manager if/when needed.
    • Possess or exhibits advanced soft skills which lead to strong relationship building and collaboration.

    Maintains compliance with bank and industry requirements:  

    • Ensures key project documentation has appropriate signoff from key stakeholders per the methodology. 
    • Ensures compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
    • Negotiates priority and schedule changes as required to ensure individual projects meet deadlines, and the highest overall corporate benefit is achieved.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Project Manager II:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related major from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience required.
    • Senior Project Manager:
      • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related major from an accredit institution required.

    Experience:

    • Project Manager II:
      • 6 years of experience in project management with projects of large scope (6 months duration, five or more parties involved, and/or dollar value of $1,000,000 ) required.
    • Senior Project Manager:
      • 10 years of experience in project management with projects of large scope (6 months duration, five or more parties involved, and/or dollar value of $1,000,000 ) required.

    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Project Manager II:
      • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or related certification or commensurate experience is strongly preferred.
    • Senior Project Manager:
      • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or related certification or commensurate experience required. 

    Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

    • Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
    • Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
    • Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
    • Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.  
    • Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time.  Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
