Project Management Manager manages and directs the work of project managers and provides managerial oversight for multiple projects. Monitors project scopes, costs, schedules, staffing, communications, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables. Being a Project Management Manager develops standards, processes, and tools used for effective project scheduling and to set and manage quality targets. Addresses internal or vendor issues that may impede project delivery and develops solutions. Additionally, Project Management Manager tracks at risk metrics and facilitates actions to keep projects on track. Establishes data collection and reporting processes to capture key metrics of project activities and to provide periodic reporting. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a project management certification. Typically reports to a director. The Project Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. This role protects and grows the Global Prairie portfolio of clients through exceptional coordination of resources and keeping projects on time and on budget.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    Working across all our Global Prairie functional teams and offices, this individual will be responsible for:

    • Leading and overseeing the internal progression and execution of complex projects from kick-off to completion, which have a high level of uncertainty and unknown dependencies. 
    • Leading and actively participating in the assessment and recommendations for creative, digital, client partnership and strategy team assignments for each client/project.
    • Managing project development, which includes: tracking ongoing projects, routing deliverables for approval, monitoring scope, and analyzing financial performance 
    • Demonstrating an ability to pivot and problem solve in partnership with project team, often with direction coming from multiple sources
    • Supporting the creation of draft estimates, timelines, and assumptions for project scopes spanning across a duration of 1-12 months, with varying degrees of complexity and unknown assumptions 
    • Creating staff plans and enforcing timelines which align with Global Prairie internal and client needs 
    • Participating in and/or managing new business efforts (organic and new) from a Project Management perspective 
    • Proactively and confidently monitoring project performance, identifying and recommending opportunities for optimization 
    • Establishing positive relationships with functional teams, client partnership teams, vendors, etc. to effectively lead and drive performance and understanding of the business need 
    • Collaborating with the Finance Team to track and report on revenue/forecasts 
    • Assisting in identifying best practices for developing new systems/processes/tools to enhance Global Prairie’s ability to deliver exceptional client work 

     

    Additionally, the ideal candidate must meet these qualifications: 

    • 4 years of experience 
    • Prior roles in marketing, consulting, project management or similar with demonstrated increasing responsibility  
    • Bachelors or graduate degree 
    • Proven track record of success in providing high caliber project management services to clients and teams 
    • Ability to self-start and manage multi-disciplinary teams with shifting workloads across diverse projects 
    • Positive outlook, collaborative spirit and passion for producing exceptional deliverables 


    The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including but not limited to: candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experiences and may fall outside the range shown.     • Expected Compensation Range: $60,000 - $90,000

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS

    The physical activity required of this position includes standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, reaching, stooping, talking, hearing and use of repetitive motion.  Light work is required of this position, occasionally lifting or moving objects between 10-20 pounds.  The visual acuity of this position requires the ability to operate a motor vehicle.  This position will not be substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
