Project Manager - Construction directs day-to-day construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Manages governance of projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors all project milestones, changes, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager - Construction manages strategic client and contractor relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Project Manager - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Manager - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Duties: - Plan, organize, and manage all phases of construction projects - Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans - Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project success - Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints - Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations - Oversee project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports - Manage project budgets and financials, including cost estimation and control - Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment needed for the project - Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction - Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred) - Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role - Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices - Proficiency in construction management software such as HeavyBid, ProCore, or Civil 3D - Excellent blueprint reading and construction estimating skills - Exceptional time management and organizational abilities - Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective project coordination - Ability to negotiate contracts and manage client relationships We offer competitive compensation packages based on experience.
