Project Manager Sr. - Construction directs construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager Sr. - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors project milestones, change orders, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages strategic client relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Manager Sr. - Construction typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Overview

    Dietzler Construction Corp is presently seeking a Project Manager with a Civil Engineering background in the Denver/Northern Colorado area, for geotechnical and heavy civil construction projects. We are an industry leader with a robust backlog!

     

    This position will primarly work in the office, but will visit assigned project sites frequently. The position has complete accountability managing assigned projects and responsibilities include oversite of project superintendents and maintaining a strong relationship with project clients and consultants.

     

    The candidate must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, experience in project management/civil or geotechnical engineering/scheduling of projects, the understanding of multi-staged civil and utility field operations, a detailed approach to the business of civil construction, excellent communication skills, and a positive client relationship approach.

    • Subcontractor coordination
    • Direct / supervise work of on-site managers.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • This is a full-time, salary position. It may require overnight travel approximately 10% of the time.

    Qualifications

    • 5 yrs experience in heavy civil projects preferred.
    • Four-year engineering/construction degree or equivalent substantive work experience required.
    • Strong problem-solving skills in stressful situations is essential.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and understand impact of the sum of the parts overall.
    • Ability to motivate others in a positive manner while commanding respect and leadership.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw solid conclusions.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Proficient in Bluebeam.
    • Must be able to work weekends as business needs require.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.

     

    Pay

    • $120,000 /per year DOE
