Project Manager Sr. - Construction directs construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager Sr. - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors project milestones, change orders, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages strategic client relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions.     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    The ideal candidate will be comfortable maintaining involvement in growth and sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers. Preparing estimates utilizing methods such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs, equipment costs, subcontractor bids, and applying to complete scope of work. Defining and quantifying scope of work and preparing comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates for projects. Reviewing and researching historical data and compiling summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimators.
    REQUIRED CRITERIA/EXPERIENCE
    5-7 years min. of experience with management and estimating for a general contractor.
    A strong understanding of the Washington, California, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Minnesota and or any other states construction market, including current market prices and clients (e.g. engineers, architects, property managers and owners.) Exceptional math and computer skills including Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis in Excel and Project, Sage software is a plus, LEED certified is a plus. Experience managing client relationships and performing light business development duties. BA or BS Degree in Business, Engineering or preferably in Construction Management with five (5) years previous experience in a construction management environment OR ten (10) years work experience in an Estimating/PM role.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    Solid background in construction, bidding and estimating. Proven track record of problem-solving issues. Professional appearance and attitude, possessing strong verbal and written communication skills to represent Coast Construction Group in a positive and professional manner. Thorough knowledge of Project Management coordination and scheduling. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings accurately. Proficient at reading, writing, and comprehending contractual legal documents and/or draft addendums. PC literate for correspondence spread sheet tracking and project management coordination, including basic skills with MS Office. MS Project a plus. Demonstrates established and consistent methods of multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.
