Project Manager Sr. - Construction directs construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager Sr. - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors project milestones, change orders, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages strategic client relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Manager Sr. - Construction typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description

    AECOM/Tishman has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Low Voltage Sr. Construction Project Manager for our exciting project in Elmont, NY.

    • Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.

    • Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.

    • Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.

    • Responsible for administering the project from the pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage through procurement, shop drawing/coordination development, construction, space turnover and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned construction project.


    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirement:

    • BA/BS and 8 years of relevant low-voltage construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.


    Preferred Requirements:

    • Experience leading teams in technology driven infrastructure projects.

    • Proficiency in program and project management within IT projects related to technology, utilizing various project management methodologies.

    • Experience in managing/collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, owners' reps', etc. regarding technology scope of project.

    • Experience managing the construction of data rooms (racks, ladder support, data switches, routers, etc).

    • Experience with the installation of various security, telecom, data cabling, fiber optic cabling, data backbone, etc.

    • VOIP/Cloud based system proficiency.


    Additional Information

    • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.

    • This position is on-site and is not hybrid nor remote.


    Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $133,500.00 - $246,976.00.
