Project Manager Sr. - Construction directs construction project management planning and execution processes to meet project design requirements, schedules, and organizational financial objectives. Provides overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools for effective project management throughout the project lifecycle. Being a Project Manager Sr. - Construction uses comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and operations to set project productivity and quality targets. Monitors project milestones, change orders, and technical status reports. Additionally, Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages strategic client relationships and establishes clear lines of communication. Responds to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions. Analyzes project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and propose operational improvements and cost savings for future projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Project Manager Sr. - Construction manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Project Manager Sr. - Construction typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     What you'll be doing

    • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance expectations within the boundaries of company policy
    • Create and execute project work plans and revise when appropriate to meet changing needs
    • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scopes
    • Initiate and maintain relationships with clients to facilitate successful project completion
    • Effectively facilitate team and client meetings
    • Provide oversight of project staff
    • Complete project documents – initiate and complete any required documentation to support assigned projects
    • Manage project budgets
    • Seek new clients/projects – in working with potential or existing clients, listen for, and seek out new projects that may exist or are being formulated
    • Participate in the development of proposals for new projects as well as interviews and presentations as needed
    • Effectively communicate information in both written and verbal forms
    • Demonstrate independence and initiative and will be able to move tasks forward with minimal oversight.
    • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with clients
    • Provide QA/QC and peer review of engineering calculations and designs
    • Supervise work of CAD technicians and engineers


    What you bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent
    • PE license is required
    • Experience and proficiency in land development design and permitting
    • 10 years or more of progressively responsible civil engineering experience
