Proof Department Manager manages the day-to-day activities of check encoding and processing operations. Ensures production targets are met with required levels of accuracy. Being a Proof Department Manager reviews errors, exceptions, and resolves process or equipment problems. Completes required audits, reporting and documentation. Additionally, Proof Department Manager oversees training for new hires. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Proof Department Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Virginia FPS is looking to add a Part Time Manager to our dynamic fire protection and commercial kitchen hood maintenance team. This position will be responsible for day-to-day company functions and leading a small team (2-4 persons). On-site training is provided, but prior managerial experience and coachability is required. Must possess strong leadership, people-management, and customer service skills. Sales knowledge is an added strength. Valid Virginia drivers license and travel are required for this position.
Job Functions:
The function of this role is to work with managers/owner to provide quality service to our customer base throughout Virginia. Candidate will help schedule, plan, manage and communicate any scheduled service orders, prioritize customer emergencies and maintain high quality standards.
