Proof Department Manager manages the day-to-day activities of check encoding and processing operations. Ensures production targets are met with required levels of accuracy. Being a Proof Department Manager reviews errors, exceptions, and resolves process or equipment problems. Completes required audits, reporting and documentation. Additionally, Proof Department Manager oversees training for new hires. Typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Proof Department Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Proof Department Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Purpose:

    To provide clinical and administrative leadership within the clinical department and the Wilmington Health organization

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Maintains accountability for financial management of all clinical areas to include:
    • development of annual operating and capital budgets
    • monthly analysis of financial statements
    • development of action plan to ensure operation within established budgetary parameters

    • Maintains responsibility for planning and decision making for all clinical areas to include:
    • space planning
    • budget planning
    • staffing planning
    • quality improvement planning
    • project planning

    • Ensures efficiency of daily operations of all clinical areas.

    • Ensures high quality of care to patients, service to physicians, and relationships within and between departments. Includes:
    • development of clinical pathways/guidelines/protocols
    • measurement and improvement of patient satisfaction
    • development of quality improvement efforts in collaboration with LPN II
    • systems evaluation and design in collaboration with other managers
    • Maintains patient confidentiality
    • Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow-up/intervention
    • Documents assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely
    • Develops patient education materials, triage protocols, and clinical guidelines in collaboration with physicians
    • Uses computer system efficiently and accurately
    • Provides patient/staff education
    • Oversees LPN's, CMA’s and Patient Representatives
    • Maintains effective communication and interacts with appropriately, effectively, and professionally with all members of health care team

    Other Duties:

    • Performs other duties and projects as assigned
    • Performs various specialty procedures, such as IV Therapy and Immunizations, as needed as well as assisting M.D. with patients as needed

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required:

    • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree

    Preferred:

    • Minimum of two years clinical management experience
