Responsibilities:
This position provides leadership and oversight of the fire program for the Chelan Fire Unit for the Washington Department of Natural Resources. The Fire Management Officer (FMO) Supervises 4 Wildland Fire Management Specialists and is indirectly responsible for the supervision of 2 Wildland Fire Management Supervisors, 1 Heavy Equipment Operator 2, and up to 6 Engine Leaders, as well as up to 35 Seasonal Fire Fighters in daily activities including training, pre-suppression, suppression, and fire regulation enforcement.
