Proof Operator performs a variety of clerical functions relating to check processing, deposits, withdrawals, and payments. Operates a proof machine which encodes and endorses checks and deposits. Being a Proof Operator finds errors and makes appropriate reconciliations, adjustments, and corrections. May be responsible for batching and distribution. Additionally, Proof Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Proof Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Description
- Maintain a safe work area and observe all company safety regulations and procedures, including wearing all required personal protective equipment; report any safety issue to appropriate personnel.
- Perform manual operations such as line feeder, filling, labeling, packing, capping, palletizing, sealing, and inspecting.
- Perform quality inspections during production and immediately report any non-standard issues to the Production Manager and Quality team members.
- Continually observe products and materials being used and reject any substandard products, materials or packages not in compliance with SOP’s and GMP’s.
- always Maintain sanitary conditions in immediate work area and assist in ongoing and assigned clean-up.
- Assist with total line changeovers.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
- Setting up machines to start production cycle.
- Ability to control and adjust machine settings.
- Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Fix issues that may occur during the shift.
- Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and legibly.
- Maintain reliable attendance, including overtime as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
