Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of marine animals. As part of our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our guests, we operate a vibrant cafe offering a variety of food and beverage options. 

We are seeking servers to join our events team. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability, physical demands, and work environment associated with this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Ensure the setting of tables completely according to diagram and/or sample table. 

• Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor. 

• Responsible for setting up tables and chairs in event spaces and the breakdown of event spaces. 

• Responsible for unloading/loading event trucks. 

• Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques. 

• Keep work area clean, and coordinate actions with the banquet team members, and all other members of the front and back of the house to ensure flawless customer service. 

• Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene. 

Performs other related duties, as required.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:  

• Knowledge of upscale/VIP service styles required. 

• Knowledge of food and beverage catering equipment and set-up. 

• Must live near or be willing to relocate to Clearwater, FL. 

• 2 years of catering experience and/or food & beverage operations is required. 

• Reporting to the Captain and performing any task that they assign to execute a flawless event. 

Specialized Skills:  

• Excellent listening and communication skills. 

• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs. 

• Renowned time management and organization skills. 

• Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs. 

• The ability to work alone and as a team. 

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. 

• Must be a highly organized and phenomenal team player. 

• Must have impeccable integrity for the business, the community, and the Proof of the Pudding team. 

Work Environment   

This position will consist of event attendance, preparation, assist with set up, and breakdown. This position works mostly out of and mainly stay within Clearwater Matine Aquarium.   

Uniform Requirements:  

Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines. 

Physical Demands:  

• Prolonged periods of moving through an event space and traveling from venue to venue. 

• Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items. 

• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.
