Being a Proof Operator finds errors and makes appropriate reconciliations, adjustments, and corrections. May be responsible for batching and distribution. Additionally, Proof Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Proof Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position: Visitor Center Tour Guide
Compensation: Minimum $18 and up based on experience
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Roles & Responsibilities:
TOUR GUIDE
1. Complete a minimum 10 day on boarding schedule designed to provide education about the bourbon industry, distillation process, sensory tasting, and brand standards.
2. Gain an understanding of Visitor Center operations, tour rotation, guidelines and best practices.
3. Dress suitably to project a positive image (dress and grooming) to customers and visitors.
4. Lead groups of adults (25 people) on a tour of the distillery production/process in a safe and orderly fashion within a time schedule.
5. Uphold excellent communication skills and the ability to fluently and interestingly tell the brand story.
6. Work with a team of tour ambassadors to manage the daily traffic of guests
7. Provide guests with an authentic experience that allows them to witness first- hand the superior whiskey/bourbon making skills and craftsmanship that goes in each drop of Bulleit Frontier Whiskey.
8. Educate the consumer about the production and distillation processes behind Bulleit Frontier Whiskey and the unique methods the distillery uses to differentiate its manufacturing techniques from other spirit choices
9. Tour directors must have good communication skills and the ability to fluently and interestingly tell the brand story
10. Tour directors must have the ability to learn and explain all aspects of the distillery and whiskey/bourbon-making process.
13. Retail – additional responsibilities may stem from needs of the gift shop including inventory, stocking and restocking, tagging items, and cleaning displays.
14. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting at the bar, pouring tastings, cleaning glassware, clearing tables, etc.
15. Special Events include weekends, nights, and non-operating days. All staff should have the ability to fulfill private event shifts. If taking place on a non-operating day, an adjustment to an employees weekly schedule can be accommodated to account for days off.
Additional Qualifications:
PMM will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the USA in this position and must be 21 years of age. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screen and verification of I-9 Form.
