    Job Description

    The Bank is seeking a qualified individual to join its Deposit Operation Proof and Control team

    Proof and Control is responsible for:

    • Quality control – Secondary review
    • Deposit related GLs and their reconciliation
    • Check fraud prevention
    • ACH issues and returns
    • ATM / Debit and credit card oversight
    • Credit card application processing / credit review
    • Reg E
    • Standard bank confirmations
    • Return item processing

     

    Job Description

    • Daily completion of the Deposit Operation G/L reconciliations:
      • Reconciliations performed include:
        • Type balance to sub ledger
        • Sub ledger to the ledger (Oracle system)
        • ACH
        • ATM
        • VISA
        • Tax Withholding
      • Reconciliation
        • Research all GL breaks / differences
        • Perform clearing entries
        • Validate prior day entries
        • Instruct other areas to process clearing entries for breaks created by them and educate them how to prevent causing the breaks
    • Daily review of transactions performed
    • Return item processing
    • ACH returns
    • Reg E
    • Credit and ATM / Debit card issue resolution and mailing
    • Maintain the department procedure manual
    • Liaison with Account Officers and Branches
    • Cross train with other team members to provide backup coverage

    Qualifications

    • G/L reconciliation experience (minimum 5 years)
    • Accounting/Bookkeeping degree desired
    • General bank operations knowledge
    • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
    • Familiar with Oracle
    • Familiar with PC use and its applications
      • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent

    Compensation

    The expected annual salary for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
