Property and Risk Services Associate

  • The Property and Risk Management Department is responsible for assisting with and/or, in coordination with other relevant agency stakeholders; the lease, purchase and management of Agency properties, securing, monitoring, reviewing, and renewing the Agency insurance coverages, purchasing and leasing motor vehicles, monitoring Agency sites to ensure compliance with internal Agency requirement as well as federal, state, local, and other applicable standards and requirements, including , without limitations, labor and Industry, OSHA, and safety standards

    This position reports directly to the Property and Risk Manager. In addition to the responsibilities summarized above, Property and Risk Manager with the daily functions of the Department and in the development, implementation and administration of the Agency’s Property and Risk Management policies and procedures.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Develops and maintains a broad working knowledge of insurance coverage, inclusions and exclusions.
    • Recommend and assist with the least and purchase of new vehicles as well as sale of old vehicles.
    • Monitors and ensure compliance with agency vehicle maintenance schedules.
    • Performs on-site vehicle safety inspections.
    • Takes delivery of purchased and leased vehicles.
    • Serve as a member on the agency (CSC) Centralized Safety Committee and (ARM) Agency Rick Management Committee.
    • Develops and facilitate safe driving courses and conduct related online and in-person training.
    • Manager the agency vehicle GPS system and 800 safety first program.
    • Investigate agency accidents and compile all necessary paperwork.
    • Oversees all functions related to the Agency’s fleet of vehicles including the processing of motor vehicle registrations, motor vehicle credit card requests and changes, replacement of lost and/or stolen license plates and registration stickers and the transfer of vehicles throughout the system.
    • Contacts claims adjustors and insurance carriers to reports claims information and to obtain information/status on claims.
    • Assists in planning, preparation, and training to ensure the Agency meets all necessary Safety and Risk Management requirements.
    • Participates in the development of safety brochures, newsletter articles and conference presentations on safety and Risk Management for outside training as well as in-house training.
    • Assists in the preparation of monthly rental report.
    • Assists in the preparation and planning of Regional safety and disaster drills.
    • Engage in travel on an as needed basis to other regions where the Agency operates and to educational conferences and trainings. Such travel may require overnight stays.
    • All other duties as assigned.
