Property Acquisitions Manager manages the research, analysis, and negotiating activities required to assess opportunities for acquiring additional locations, land, or buildings. Investigates potential property acquisitions or dispositions. Being a Property Acquisitions Manager performs or facilitates inspections and assessments of possible property acquisitions. Monitors market trends and competitor activities. Additionally, Property Acquisitions Manager structures and negotiates purchase or leasing agreements. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Property Acquisitions Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Responsibilities:
- LIHTC Section 42 experience a plus
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the property
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with property owners, tenants, and vendors
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate property showings and lease signings
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with lease agreements and identify maintenance needs
- Coordinate and oversee property maintenance and repairs, including scheduling contractors and obtaining bids
- Maintain accurate records and files related to property management activities
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction
- Proficiency in using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferred
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of property management principles and practices
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
