Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor oversees activities of the property/casualty underwriting department. Provides supervision for a group of underwriters who review, analyze and inspect property/casualty insurance contracts, which includes accident insurance, crime insurance, loss of property insurance. Being a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor experienced in risk management and complex applications. Analyzes various rate plans utilizing a company's claims history to determine the appropriate rate plan and benefits costs. Additionally, Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor may assist with analysis of large accounts. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically requires certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. LOCATION: NRTF (White Sands Missile Range), Holloman AFB, NM – On Site
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position works under minimal supervision and reports to the NRTF Program Manager. Performs various property management activities including filing records, entering information in databases and support in inventory searches. Implement new supply procedures, brief changes to personnel and become closely familiar with the EOMS Supply procedures.
GENERAL DUTIES: Applicant will be required to perform the following duties: Managing the EOMS property accounts for all property on the National RCS Test Facility site. Direct supervision of the NRTF Supply department to include oversight of Supply personnel. Coordinating/deconflicting supply runs into Alamogordo, Holloman, and additional local areas. Identification of missing shipments/items, scrap metal and DRMO materials. Ensuring 100% inventory is completed every two years. Ensure the correct tagging is applied to new equipment as it arrives. Ensure invoices are documented and provided to RT&T/Eglin for vendor payments.
OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate. Employee must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly. Exceptional organization skills are desirable. Five years of related experience in property management, equipment databases, invoicing, and technician supervision.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Top-Secret security clearance. Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. Operation of government owned vehicles is required, so incumbents must have and must maintain a current, valid State driver’s license and qualify for a government driver’s license. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Supports NRTF operational objectives; observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies. Supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Job requirements will be performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled atmosphere, as well as outdoors during performance of duties. Will be required to operate, inspect, and perform operator maintenance of government vehicles. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and stooping will be required frequently, to include daily delivery/pick-up of arriving/departing equipment.
