Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor oversees activities of the property/casualty underwriting department. Provides supervision for a group of underwriters who review, analyze and inspect property/casualty insurance contracts, which includes accident insurance, crime insurance, loss of property insurance. Being a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor experienced in risk management and complex applications. Analyzes various rate plans utilizing a company's claims history to determine the appropriate rate plan and benefits costs. Additionally, Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor may assist with analysis of large accounts. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically requires certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. As a Multi-line Adjuster for Brezina Claim Associates, Inc., you will serve as a field investigation representative knowledgeable of the entire claims process. You will provide claims investigative service and technical expertise regarding physical damage losses and injury claims. You will appraise, evaluate, negotiate and equitably settle first and third party property damage and bodily injury losses in accordance with the terms and conditions of corporate guidelines, policy contracts and existing insurance laws and regulations.
Qualified candidates need to possess:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant adjusting and physical damage appraisal experience.
• Experience and/or working knowledge of estimating and total loss evaluation systems.
• Current knowledge of property damage repair process.
• Computer literacy in a Windows operating environment.
• Texas P&C adjuster’s license.
• General understanding of liability assessment and relevant claims processes.
• Driving record verifiable through MVR.
• Ability to regularly lift 30 lbs.
Preferred experience includes:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledgeable of Xactimate estimating platform.
• Ability to complete on site inspections in most weather conditions.
• Willingness to handle volume in outlying areas that may deem extended hours.
• ICAR certification.
