Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor jobs in Buffalo, NY

Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor oversees activities of the property/casualty underwriting department. Provides supervision for a group of underwriters who review, analyze and inspect property/casualty insurance contracts, which includes accident insurance, crime insurance, loss of property insurance. Being a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor experienced in risk management and complex applications. Analyzes various rate plans utilizing a company's claims history to determine the appropriate rate plan and benefits costs. Additionally, Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor may assist with analysis of large accounts. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically requires certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Maintenance Supervisor - Piotr Stadnitski Gardens- Buffalo
    SPM, LLC, a full service national property management firm, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor.
    The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the prompt and efficient performance of all tasks assigned by the Community Manager and for continuous self-improvement of skills and expertise. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the community from both a preventative and corrective standpoint. A working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, such as stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators is required, as well as familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry.
    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Ensure residents are provided a clean, well-maintained community.
    • Complete service requests promptly (within 24 hours) and efficiently. Service requests often involve plumbing, minor appliance repair, electrical, HVAC, and everyday routine maintenance of the interior of apartment homes and building exteriors.
    • Routine pool maintenance is completed in-house; Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Permit a plus.
    • Grounds keeping tasks including removing litter and debris to promote an excellent curb appeal, pressure washing windows, building exteriors, and breezeways, and other tasks as needed to maintain grounds and building exteriors.
    • After-hours on call work shared with fellow maintenance team-members. Some weekend duties and holiday work will be required periodically.
    • Must provide excellent customer service to residents, work well with co-workers and vendors, and go above and beyond to work as a team.
    • Exercise control over maintenance expenditures including keeping an inventory of frequently used parts and replacement items.
    • Implement and follow OSHA safety programs; must be HVAC Certified.
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
    • Must be honest, courteous and possess cooperative character traits
    • Must have a valid driver's license, proper automobile liability insurance, and dependable transportation.
    • Good communication and organizational skills required.
    • Drug test and background check required.
