Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor oversees activities of the property/casualty underwriting department. Provides supervision for a group of underwriters who review, analyze and inspect property/casualty insurance contracts, which includes accident insurance, crime insurance, loss of property insurance. Being a Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor experienced in risk management and complex applications. Analyzes various rate plans utilizing a company's claims history to determine the appropriate rate plan and benefits costs. Additionally, Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor may assist with analysis of large accounts. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically requires certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. We are seeking a Property Claim Supervisor to join our Claim Center Property team, to supervise a team of adjusters primarily handling commercial and personal lines Valuable Articles claims throughout North America. The position is in Chesapeake, Virginia.
This position will be responsible for the administrative management, staff development and technical claim results for one unit of property claim adjusters throughout the country and locally. The role is an in-office role where the candidate will work in the office in adherence with our 3/2 hybrid schedule working in office 3 days a week, and remote 2 days a week. The individual will collaborate with and report to the Pacific based AVP, Claim Manager and be responsible for delivering excellent financial and service results as well as a high-quality product. The position will also be responsible for developing staff, succession planning and executing strategies to achieve goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient/consistent delivery of service to our customers and business partners that meets or exceeds Chubb's standards and complies with all applicable statutes/regulations within the assigned jurisdiction(s).
