Property Casualty Underwriting Supervisor jobs in Orange, CA

This is a hybrid role. You’ll be expected to report to an office about four days per month for important meetings, training, and collaboration and will have the benefit of continued coaching from a supportive team. If you prefer an in-office environment, you’re welcome to work in the office more than four days per month.    

Duties & responsibilities 

• Determines coverage and liability 
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys 
• Settle claims and set reserves
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents
• Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution
• Interview, collect and document information from various people such as claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police 

  Must-have qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling
• {OR} Associate'sdegree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling\
• {OR} Bachelor'sdegree and one year in claims handling 

Preferred skills 

• Auto and/or commercial insurance experience 

Compensation 

• You’ll be paid based on your location and level of experience:
• • • $31.63 - $40.91/hour for Riverside, Irvine, San Diego, Modesto and Sacramento area
    • $34.52 - $44.66/hour for Pasadena, Torrance, Sherman Oaks, Thousand Oaks, and Concord area
• Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
