Property Manager manages the day-to-day operations for a property or portfolio of properties. Responsible for coordinating routine and emergency maintenance, selecting and managing contractors, and leading property improvement projects. Being a Property Manager develops financial and business plans for profitable property ownership. Oversees budgets, lease administration, and tenant service delivery. Additionally, Property Manager may initiate or assist with the buying and selling properties in the portfolio. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Property Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Property Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Responsibilities and Duties
- Show and lease apartments, ensuring minimal occupancy loss
- Assist Property Manager with the day-to-day operation of the property.
- Attend occasional evening/weekend gatherings for residents
- Comply with federal and state fair housing requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience leasing residential apartments – or sales experience in other fields a plus
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrates a clear understanding and consistent use of YARDI software a plus
- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work independently as well as work cohesively within a team, with great attention to detail and accurateness
- High school diploma or equivalency
