Property and Evidence Clerk receives, records, stores, and safeguards evidence collected from crime investigations. Prepares records of articles according to chain of custody procedures and maintains evidence database. Being a Property and Evidence Clerk releases property or evidence being retained to designated party for court presentation or other disposition. Maintains storage facility and coordinates proper disposal of sensitive materials including narcotics, bio-hazardous materials, firearms, and explosives. Additionally, Property and Evidence Clerk typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Property and Evidence Clerk works under moderate supervision. Responsible for ordering material and or equipment for the Maintenance Department. Entering received items into COGZ System.
Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - $28.85
