Maintains storage facility and coordinates proper disposal of sensitive materials including narcotics, bio-hazardous materials, firearms, and explosives. Additionally, Property and Evidence Clerk typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Property and Evidence Clerk works under moderate supervision. Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the general ledger
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable statements
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Prepare financial reports and analysis as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments or invoices
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate recording of employee hours and wages
- Monitor and track vendor invoices, payments, and aging reports
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Quicken, UltiPro, Ceridian, etc.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts and procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
