Contracting Specialist Responsibilities:

• Prepares and sorts contracting documents and identifies and interprets data to be entered. Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from contracting documents into database following format displayed on screen and enters necessary information.

• Verifies data accuracy with customers and works to answer questions, resolve inconsistencies, or retrieve missing data. 

• Makes necessary corrections to information entered.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

• Updates, manages and organizes internal files.

• Sends document information, files, and data to appropriate carrier(s). 

• Reaches out to carrier(s) regarding status of agents’ contract.

• Assists agents to complete contracting.

• Works with the Sales team to ensure agents’ contracts are processed correctly and efficiently.

Contracting Specialist Skills and Requirements:

• Customer service driven.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written to communicate effectively with team members, agents, and insurance carriers.

• Ability to work as a team member.

• Detail oriented with exceptional time management skills.

• Ability to work independently.

• Positive attitude, with a teachable spirit.

• Ability to stay on top of procedures and processes to be able to relay the most accurate information to our agents and team members.

• Takes initiative and enjoys problem solving.

• Ability to work in office full-time.
