Provider Contracting Manager jobs in Grand Rapids, MI

Provider Contracting Manager manages the activities of the contracting staff that prepare and maintain contracts and the contracts database system for a health plan network. Responsible for negotiating with facilities joining the health network and setting rates. Being a Provider Contracting Manager oversees network reporting requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, and to produce accurate and relevant reporting of data. Trains and develops staff. Additionally, Provider Contracting Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Provider Contracting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Provider Contracting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Purpose

    Using our mission statement as a guide, the Contracting project manager is directly responsible for the supervision of individuals or teams to accomplish assigned projects on time, within budget, in a safe manner, and at a desired level of quality.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Balance time between supervisory duties (coordination, documentation, and organization)
    • Direct employees in a specific task or function on a specific construction project
    • Thoroughly understands project drawings and specifications
    • Order material and equipment
    • Implement and maintain Personal Marketing Plan (PMP)
    • Responsible for promoting project safety at each work site and verifying adherence to MIOSHA, GC, and Buist standards
    • Document project progress and activities
    • Responsible for crew production and quality of workmanship
    • Responsible for verifying project installation per code and specifications
    • Manage project costs - responsible for overall profitability of each project
    • Evaluate employee performance
    • Responsible for review and enforcement of company policies as outlined in Buist standards
    • Review and approval of all project billings
    • Construction document and scope of work administration

    Qualifications

    • Minimum high school diploma
    • Minimum 10 years of electrical trade experience preferred
    • Current Journeyman or Master Electrician license
    • Strong code, product, and installation knowledge
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organization and planning skills
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Spectrum ERP
    • Ability to interact and work well with others
    • Ability to effectively multitask
    • Effective problem-solving skills
    • Strong understanding of construction safety
    • History of demonstrating positive leadership skills

    Work Hours

    • Hours are typically Monday through Friday
    • Hours are typically 1st shift
    • Typically 45 hours per week

    Work Conditions

    • Typically working in a temperature-controlled office environment

    • Able to lift up to 15lbs
